"Touch 106.1 FM" reference In Globe Calendar

Boston isn't completely shut down this weekend. The Boston Globe's "Calendar" section lists events and celebrations in the city for the Labor Day weekend including this item:

"UNITY IN THE COMMUNITY".
Franklin Park, Circuit Drive, Boston 617-445-1061. www.franklinparkcoalition.org
9/1 10 am - 6:00 pm Free. Games, music and family fun presented by TOUCH 106.1 FM. {END OF ITEM}

Hmmm...no mention that TOUCH 106.1 FM is an unlicensed radio station, possibly interfering in some neighborhoods with a duly licensed station broadcasting on 105.7 mHz from atop the Pru.

Good to see a Pirate station doing something for The Community . Licensed Radio Stations In Boston Does Nothing for Boston Inner city .

Globe did an article on the station several months ago and added that, oh by the way, they are
not officially licensed.

I have little faith in the Globe. And yes, you are hearing that from a liberal. I will never forgive them for the Chuck Turner, "our soldiers are raping Iraqi women" porno debacle.
