Toucher and Rich get national attention for Hillary bit

Thread subject is false. Toucher and Rich got no national attention for the bit because none of the major media outlets that reported the story had any idea that it was a radio bit and identified either Toucher and Rich or WBCN. Those that did were mostly blogs. The bit got the attention, the show got nothing.

And I'd vote for banishing this to the Boston board. I mean, Rich used to work in Dallas - doesn't mean this should be posted there, too. We don't need the T&R tards crossposting to Atlanta every time (they think) something interesting happens.

And, seriously, I have nothing against T&R. If they're doing well, good on 'em.

Toucher and Rich were talked about by name for several minutes on Rush Limbaugh's show today.

Hope that helps, UglyRedHonda.

Wow, really? Cause that's precisely the same thing as having Reuters, the AP, the AFP, the BBC, Fox News, CNN, MSNBC, etc, all talking about your bit - but not mentioning that you had anything to do with it.

Media mentions via Google:
http://news.google.com/news?hl=en&um=1&tab=wn&scoring=n&q=toucher+and+rich&btnG=Search+News

Answer: 4. And only one of them is a true news media outlet, and, not surprisingly, it's a Boston newspaper.

So, basically, you're telling me that the correct title for this thread is "Toucher and Rich mentioned on Limbaugh". An earlier assertion in this thread was that the bit created a buzz for the show. Apparently, the bit created a buzz for the show among... Limbaugh listeners. Nice work, guys.

It still doesn't belong in the Atlanta forum.

A topic devoted to two rising radio stars with their roots in Atlanta is of interest to a great many people on this board. "What ever happened to..." threads are technically not about people in Atlanta radio, otherwise the question would not be posed. Yet they're commonplace here.

This board comprises a wide range of interests, and I'm sure that not every topic is of interest to every participant. Perhaps your energy would be better spent participating in topics that interest you, rather than trying to get banned topics that interest others.

I'm not trying to get topics banned. I'm trying to get people to stop posting crap about guys that have little or no current ties to Atlanta. If you're a regular listener to their show and want to talk about their accomplishments, do it where it belongs - in the Boston forum.

Case in point - 96 Rock used to carry Loveline, making Adam Carolla a known entity in the Atlanta market. I listen to his show just about every day. But I would never post a topic related to Carolla in this forum unless it had direct relation to the area - such as if he talked about something local or there was a verifiable possibility that an Atlanta station was interested in syndication.

I wouldn't even take exception had this thread been "Toucher and Rich resurrect 99x bit, get mentioned on Limbaugh", cause at least that would have some tie to Atlanta radio. But that's not what happened here. Instead, this thread is just another lame-ass attempt by the few locals on this board who actually listen to their show to try and show off how "awesome" they are now. It's the same garbage as the folks who kept raving about Opie and Anthony coming to Atlanta and how awesome it would be, and you see how well that turned out.

The Atlanta board isn't Toucher and Rich's PR firm. And it shouldn't be.

You should probably wait a little longer before contradicting yourself.

ban - v. to prohibit
Example: The topic was banned on the forum, so the thread was locked.

banish - v. to exile
Example: The thread was banished from the Atlanta forum and ended up in the Boston forum.

There are several online dictionaries available if you're ever confused about the definitions of words.

Let me spell this out again, since you seem to be confused. I have no problem with people talking about Toucher and Rich (ie, I have no desire to ban the topic). However, said discussion should not take place here - it should take place in the Boston forum (unless it is specifically related to Atlanta radio).

UglyRedHonda has hate in his heart. Where is Al Sharpton when you need him?

Uglyredhonda and deadman: you two ladies need to take it outside.

To all Atlanta Board Radio-info.com posters, Do not say anything objectable about Toucher annd Rich or Sean Demery or Deadman their unofficial PR flak will cut you down. HE is the eminent expert on all things Toucher and Rich and mr. Velveeta Sean Demery. Don't imply that T & R are unoriginal or won't work in this market. Also never suggest when the tough get going Sean "I wasn't fired, I quit" Demery throws the white flag and cites family reasons.
