Toucher & Rich get contract extensions with 98.5

I don't think they attract the same audiences at at all. T&R seem to be trying to be like Opie and Anthony or Stern which is not D&C's type of audience. I read on Sons of Sam Horn, where they all seem to hate WEEI (yet never miss a word), that D&C did a much better interview with Tiger's porn star(name escapes me) than they did. T&R apparently acted like a couple of buffoons. D&C were polite and professional.

The last ratings of individual shows which someone on this board posted had D&C at #1 and T&R at #8. Has that changed?

See, I thought the T & R interview was much much better than the D & C interview...good to see guys like fred and rich get extended, they're nice dudes the few times I met them
 
T&R probably get paid a 1/5th of what G&C make so it's still a good decision for 98.5

Sucks they had to cut Crash though, he really brought something special to the show.
 
I agree with Travis, I thought TnR blew D&C's Joslyn James' interview out of the water. They asked questions everyday people would want to ask if they got to talk to her, where as D&C just asked boring questions and almost sucking up to her. Granted Rich did snap at the end of the interview and yell at her, but it made for great radio IMO...its not like this lady is someone that deserves respect anyways, shes a skank that is trying to make money off of an affair.

Also, take it for what you will, but Fred stated that D&C stole this interview from them. TnR had it scheduled and advertised about it, then D&C swooped in and got in on it. I found it funny that D&C labeled their podcast of it "Joslyn James 1st interview in the Boston radio market".

I didn't hear their interview, but when I read the criticism of them on the media board on SoSH, I figured it must have been pretty bad. That board is loaded with WEEI haters. Not just D&C, but all of 'EEI. There is one poster over there named Phenom, who gives a glowing testimonial to Michael Felger almost every day. He constantly says how great Felger is and how horrible Ordway is. I'm thinking that it's either Felger himself or an employee of the show.

Yea b/c that what she deserves......respect rofl Bravo to T-R for treating her for what she is! Thanks for that post Art, thats gonna make me chuckle for the rest of the day!

Also O-A, Stern Don't do sports!...That Argument might have held up when T-R were on WBCN, but on 98.5 it really is a whole other show. Dont forget D-C tried to be edgy with the lame METCO joke and barely escaped with their gig. Not suprised they don't go for shock. There not very good at it.
 
Let's be honest; this is a blue collar sports station. They can get away with not knowing much about sports as long as they read up on hockey.

I hear Gresh & Neumy filling in and that was a good pairing. Neumy would be unaffordable for them though.
 
I think I heard a recent promo where they're calling themselves the "redsox fan's station." D&C like to avoid Sox talk. T&R could do better with some effort.
 
the promo went something like they're the home of the Red Sox... (pause)... fans

kind of like what WEEI used to do for the Pats... the home of the New England Patriots... fans...

Someone is sensitive! You know, I don't think you are happy that you amused me at all. I was disagreeing with D/C handling that pornstar/homewrecker with kid gloves. Anyone could have said that and it would make me laugh. Just like I do when shes on TV/Radio looking for "giggle" sympathy. I open the floor for anyone to make fun of my bad spelling and horrible grammar. But you have to admit you still understood me. Statements like yours come off as just being bitter. Relax, It's just a message board.
