Toucher & Rich- Incubus Interview

Very hilarious stuff. T&R are at the top of their game. WBCN as a whole however...hmmm ::)

Also another example of rock star holier than thou attitude. Brandon from Incubus has to be the most elitist rock star p$#ck ever. Incubus are one of the most overrated bands anyways.

It was more awkward than funny. The drunk guy is embarresing himself. I didn't think Incubus was out of line or "holier than thou". I think they were annoyed at the lack of professionalism. Notice that when Bradley Jay, a real pro, asked a real question (about the music) he got an honest and real answer and the band appreciated it. T&R started the whole thing with a sarcastic and unfocused approach. Incubus is there to promote their music not be made fun of for having false "angst". You can even ask the "angst" question without acting like an a__hole. People hate wasting their time and Incubus was doing just that by sitting through this "interview".

If I were BCN this video never would have been posted.

This was hilarious on the air, and even funnier in this lost video.
Brandon is SO full of himself.
He's part of a band. One of a million people who are in millions of bands. He's had a little more success than some. So that means he can't just roll with the punches? So he's interviewed by a drunk guy. He and his "fans" act as though that's some great "sin."
If he'd just laughed it off, it would have been the end of the story. But because Brandon and the sheep who follow him can't take a joke, they turn it into this big thing. They fan the flames because they're "offended."
Brandon and his gang of goofballs ought to let this blow over.
Great radio, by the way.

you really think Bradley Jay came off as "a real pro" in that interview?
he was nothing but a kiss-ass, and the "incubus, incubus...rah rah rah"? c'mon

Incubus is everything wrong with music now. What happend to the good old days of rock stars throwing TVs out windows, doing go knows with backstage, and having a little bit of fun.

I agree with the Mule...

Incubus are pompous, prententious, and completely enamored with themselves. They have written some good tunes, but the attitude is completely unwarranted.

Once in a while...it's good to hear about an artist getting knocked off their high horse.

...as long as they're deserving of the ridicule..and one viewing of their high n' mighty 'tude at the Who tribute is good enough for me.

Score one for T&R...well played.

I thought he was trying to real the interview back in. He asked a legit question and the band replied kindly. So, yes, compared to an extremely drunk jock and his buddies acting like morons Bradley Jay was indeed the pro in that situation.

I'm no prude, I like O&E and have at times liked T&R but I don't see the positive aspects of this interview. I didn't laugh once. I am also no Incubus fan but put in their shoes I might react the same way. I don't see them as arrogant here, just annoyed.

It's rock and roll radio. The jocks are expected to veer from the script sometimes. Toucher was hammered, that boy Brandon acted like someone peed in his cornflakes. It was great radio. Toucher's answer to the question "is this your 'gig'? the drunk guy?' was priceless! Seems to me like those who get their panties twisted over Fred's inebriation ought to listen to music more their speed, something vanilla.

And Brandon from Incubus came off sounding like a self-important clown when he said "I tuned out a while ago." I was waiting for him to say "Don't you know who I am?"

Bradley Jay, perhaps accidentally, played the role of good cop. Thus allowing further abuse.

Great job T&R and WBCN!

Funny thing is I tuned out at around the same time Brandon did. I had to rewind to see what I "missed". And just because I think this isn't "great radio" doesn't mean I need something "vanilla". Don't act like these goofs are artists who are over my head. Please. If I were in that interview seat I might have just got up and walked away. I would think I'd have better things to do than have some drunk DJ ask me backhanded questions. T&R are like Stuttering John only less interesting. They are the guys at the bar that I make fun of and avoid.

While I don't wear panties, you might be right, I should do something weird like listen to music on the radio rather than the snooze button that is T&R. Sorry if dumb drunk people don't amuse me.

Ex radio pimp, are you in the demo for the show?

that was the first time I'd ever seen/heard Toucher and Rich... and you know what the biggest crime is? The flowered shirt being worn by the chubby guy (don't know who is who)... Why would ANYONE wear a shirt like that, let alone someone a bit on the heavy side... I'm not an Incubus fan and they may be holier-than-though but I liked their sarcasm when being confronted by T&R's dull schtick. And they dress better, although the hat has to go.

The shame of it all...

There was a time on 'BCN when it was the DJ that has his act together and it was the artist that sounded like a mess. A fine example of Ya Dude culture at its worst.

ERP do you have any friends or have you been burned at some point? It seems many of your posts include references to buddies of people in the business. I'm not a shrink but it sounds to me like you didn't get the job your friend said you would. The Hurricane would love to be your friend though, for some reason he doesn't have many.

Call me anytime.

What on Earth are you talking about? I didn't make reference to buddies or people in the business. Your comment has no relevance to this conversation. It's a good thing you're not a shrink.
