Toucher & Rich

Infinity's WBCN Boston must be happy with their new afternoon show. In their first full "book" the duo is 2nd in the market in M 25-54 and 3rd M 18-34. Not bad at all. :)

When do 'Toucher & Rich' topics finally make the leap to the Boston boards, since that is now their audience?

Exactly. Good for them, but can we get this topic moved to the Boston board?

Boston poster here....I like the guys, they're funny...and I used to listen to Crash Clark when he was on Q100 with Bert...so it's a hoot.

I'm guessing it's still talked about on the Atlanta board is:

1. They came from Atlanta and still have a lot of fans there.
2. WBCN streams online so the show can be heard there.
3. Fred (I guess) I guess is still kinda connected to the city via the lawsuit.

oh, and F Cory Feldman.

C'mon, that's still a relevant topic on this board. Toucher was a lightning rod in Atlanta. Good for them.

Only in a city where Ted Kennedy and John Kerry were voted number 1.

Decent start for Toucher and Rich.

However, M18-34 is a pretty narrow demo. BCN should be #1 across the board with M18-34.

With that said, it is the first book, and it takes time. So, I will reserve judgement until they put in another book or two and see which direction they are ticking.

Meanwhile, back in Atlanta....

curious where the original poster got their data, as the Boston info I've seen says that the duo are tied for 7th w/ P25-54. (don't have access to the M18-34 info)

They've shown growth for the book, but not as dramatic as the original poster said.

That is correct the original poster is obvously a plant, or just doesnt know how to read the book!. Persons 25-54 they are a mighty 18th, Men 25-54 they are merely 7th, in short they are not setting any fires as the original poster claimed. However time will tell. Ive heard the show a l ot, it's very morning zoo-esque, Im sure they think it's edgy but it has more of a goofy feel to it, Ive never heard ANYONE laugh harder, and more forcedly. at their own jokes, NEVER.

They increased the share for the afternoon daypart for 25-34 (their target) by more than 130%. Persons 18-34 increased more than 30%. They beat their demo competitors WAAF and WEEI.

It's your perogative to not like them, but to say that they haven't caught fire is inaccurate.

Jim V, you being a fair and objective guy (oh, he runs 99X.org) and a guy who has a deep understanding of reading a ratings book (hey, he spends his days and nights taping everything 99X does) I'm surprised you didnt factor in that Toucher has Opie and Anthony as a lead in there (morn radios are turned off and then that afternoon they are where they were left) and that 18th 25-54 and citing a slice of a demo (25-34 men) really helps your credibility as a source with great insight.
