Robert's sentiments are right on the money. Little 1's is typical black suit white shirt black tie mentality, and why radio is going down faster than drano. KRLD during the days of Charles Wright ,read school closings at appointed times during the hour. Business closings were designated their slot as well. Each seg ran 2 times an hour, and ran 5 min. each. This went on until 8:45a for schools. They were in alphabetical order, larger districts first. They still got their spots in,still got news in, and sports plus the weather. Now the spotload has increased.IF there was an advertiser who wanted to be of public service, they would ask that a brief mention be made of their product so more time could be spent on closings, then their originally scheduled spots aired after 9am. A simple solution that can( and Did )could work,BUT the suits in charge
will not allow that. It worked before and the funny thing is KRLD still made money.
