I lived in Ann Arbor, MI from the Fall of '95 through the beginning of Spring '96, and I relied on Toledo radio for my CHR/Pop fix (the closest thing in Detroit at the time was WKQI "Q-95-5", which was one of my favorite Hot AC's, but definitely not a CHR/Pop.) Tower 98 (WTWR) was always an interesting alternative to the more safe & predictable 92.5 Kiss-FM (WVKS). Tower played less-mainstream songs from multiple genres.

BTW, if I'm not mistaken, 92.5 Kiss-FM was one of the "original" (that is, pre-Jacor-merger) Clear Channel stations.

No VKS was an original KISS station, but Jacor owned them before the CC merger.
