Tower Beacons

Driving to work this morning, I noticed that the middle tower on KAKC (1300AM)'s array in Bixby was unlit. Both towers on either side were lit.

Question...is this an issue? I think I've noticed before that it wasn't lit, so I'm guessing it's been that way for some time.

Using the FAA's web-based NOTAM system (which really sucks IMHO), I can't see where it has called in yet. You might want to call Brett Gilbert over at CC-Tulsa and mention it to him. I don't forsee it being a real issue as the surrounding stuctures are lit, but just in case his reporting equipment didn't tell him, it would be nice to let him know. Even with the best reporting stuff, the human eye is still the best way to know if there's issues.

Always a good idea to call and check. As I recall, the original 1300 array on South Harvard had only 3 of the 4 towers lit. There are 4 towers in the new array, so maybe the middle towers got some FAA grace.
