There are three towers on top of a large cliff/hill in Johnston. They are behind the Lombardi's 1025 Club on Plainfield Street. What station do the towers belong to?

If it's visible from US Route 6, one of them would be WPRO-FM 92.3 ("92-PRO FM").
______________

I think another of those three is WWLI-FM 105.1 ("LiteRock 105") which also used to be WPJB-FM if I'm not mistaken. Scott Fybush or TXEngineer probably has an idea on the third.. They tend to be the tower authorities on this board. ;-)

That is supposed to be the highest piont in Rhode Island (Nueniconicut) Hill.
I killed the spelling of that but someone will correct me.

The highest point in Rhode Island is Jerimoth Hill (elevation 812 feet) and it's west of that near US Route 6 heading towards Connecticut.

The highest elevation is indeed Jerimoith Hill, however the highest "point" in Rhode Island is the top beacon of the WSBE-TV antenna (which is something like 840 feet above sea level).

And yes, two of them are broadcast towers.
One is strictly WWLI., the other has WPRO-FM, and WSBE. If I am not mistaken, the WPRO-FM tower was also once the transmission tower for WPRI-TV when they originally were on Ch 13. I'll have to ask the CE at WPRI TV about that, he'll know.

The third is a boring cell tower.

ICE-FM , hmmmmmmm, what's an ICE FM? =)
Edited by TXengineer on 03/23/06 12:01 AM.

So the building at the base of tower. Still reads WPJB. JB-105 left the airwaves (6/1985) to become funeral music, then the endless loop of Debby Boone "You Light Up My Life", to Lite 105 WWLI.Would love to see a picture of the building if this is true.
