That tower is WHVW-950 AM. Their studios used to be at the same site, but for the past several years their studios have been on Main Street, downtown Poughkeepsie.
You are not missing much. They are a small 500 watt niche station. Back in their heyday in the 60's & early 70's they had over 50% of the audience playing top 40. Now they are little more than a plaything for owner JOSEPH FERRARO. They have a decent oldies show in the morning, including some rare music. Most of the rest of the day is taken up with some weird , very old blue grass stuff, some of which, they (used to anyway) say was from 78 RPM records( proably no fees for playing it). There is little if any news. They Play Classical Music in the evening. I believe some of the day is time brokered. He has to pay the bills somehow. WHVW has a very small (they rarely show up in the ratings at all) but loyal audience. On the positive side they did get a write-up in The New York Times a few years back because of their uniqueness.
