Towers Of Brotherly Love

I put this in General Radio Topics because it has alittle TV & FM in it.

from 6/17/26 Rodioworld, even Scott Fybush gets a mention in it.

In the 50's, as a kid one morning, I picked up WFIL-TV Channel 6 in Philadelphia before Channel 5 in NYC came on the air up in Northern NJ.
I got hooked, I started DXing TV, AM, FM, etc. A few months later American Bandstand a local Philadelphia TV dance show went on the ABC-TV network, and it came from Channel 6's studios in Philly! I'd watch and, loved it when I saw a camera get in a shot. I learned years later that was not good!
I took electronics up in trade school and later RCA Institutes in NYC and worked in electronics until I got a full-time broadcasting job.
When I did I loved it!

check out this article about the Roxborough Antenna Farm in Philly, enjoy!
