The South Bethlehem diner has recently switched from WLEV to WAEB FM. The Chinese Buffet on 3rd st. had on 102.9 in Philly. They have switched a bunch of times from Cat Country to WZZO and now WMGK. The Pantry One in South Betlehem always has on WAEB fm. The barber has been locked to the Cat for a while. We will see if anything changes when I go there this saturday.

My doctor in Souderton used to have WLEV piped in. He now has it on B101. That's the only LV station some place I frequented played. When I worked at Montgomery Mall (91-95), it was always WRFY out of Reading.

i dont blame him. probably cuz WLEV has become so Jack-like. some songs on there are now close to hot ac and rock which is cool that the lehigh valley has a jack-like station but not cool for the doctors offices that are used to 100.7 being soft.

No kidding? i used to live in lansdale back around that very time and i never even knew WRFY existed until moving out to central PA. everyone listened to philly stations around there. sometimes an allentown station or two. and i remember during the short lived WYCL Mix 107.5 from Reading, running into a store or two down there that played that.

We loved the presentation of Y102 and the variety of rock. Not too hard, like YSP or MMR and MGK was still all 70's. Plus, Star 104.5 was too rhythmic, Q102 was basically hip hop aimed at Power (before CC bought everything) and Eagle was gone and Z...errr Y100 was still a kiddy station. Plus, I'd always get through for the contests. Funny, Y102 came in like gangbusters, but it was tough to get in 103.9 WDRE (I was working there as well 92-95).

A Lanta bus driver was playing WLEV yesterday and it sounded good. They were playing the Human League, Dont You Want Me and some 50 something old guy behind me was singing along. The bus driver was not too happy and I think he wanted to turn the station. He ultimately did when WLEV segued into Tom Petty's You Got Lucky. I thought it was a great mix as the guy behind me also. It was upsetting when he turned the dial to some lame sports talk station with a bunch of ruffian neanderthals talking about the Suoer Bowl. However, it was my stop so I rang the buzzer and exited the bus.

It's not that strange considering this 50 something year old guy would have been in his late 20's when the song was initially released in 1982. Sure, when it was first out we can guess that he did'nt like it and preferred his Styx albums but he eventually came around. I applaud WLEV for playing this classic and if the old cranky bus driver does'nt like it that's too bad!

why ride a bus??? there are many nice cars out there...i love my new volvo s80. even if you like the smell of diesel fuel from busses vw sells a tdi jetta and mercedes sells a 300 cdi and and a m suv series with a diesel power plant. pickle please change your name back to microphonemaster...it was classic

Some of us do not have licenses or they are suspended. I see Pickle on the bus all the time. We chat often. Sometimes about this board. I don't know why he is without a license. It's his only drawback. Otherwise he's a great guy. As for me my car broke down and I just can't afford a new one. It's too much hassle. So, I ride the bus.

hey buddy i aint pickling pickle...he's a good dude and has some lively posts. i am a car dude and like high end ones. i am restoring a 1953 morgan english car from my roots ash wood frame (better get termite control eh???)

i have a nice car but sometimes i ride the bus just to save a few gas bucks and make the democrats proud of me by cutting down on greenhouse gas. there's a guy in the back of the bus that's always singing 'moonlight feels right' by starbuck. that wouldn't happen to be you pickle or bullet bob, would it? ;D

sounds like some people need better jobs.. and democrats love that u ride the bus... how else would they blame the wealthy for oppressing you lol. oh and if you had a better education.. u'd have a better job.. but then if u had a better education... u wouldn't be a democrat either lol.

hey i 78. i love that song by starbuck...got it on my ipod and itunes.

one of the many great forgotten gold ac tunes from the 70s that no one plays anymore. speaking of that kind of music, by the way, monday is the 25th anniversary of karen carpenter's death. will any stations care to do a tribute? nah. who's karen carpenter??? ::)

another goodie from about 1976 andrea true connection...more, more, more. there is a current or semi current song out using a loop out of that song.
