Traffic and Music Scheduling Software

Can anyone suggest good traffic and/or music scheduling software? We've been using Natural Logs and Natural Music for the last few years but I want to see what else is out there. What do most stations use? Thanks.

The industry standard is Selector. You might also look at MusicMaster.

Selector has a lot of cool tools and settings...but is hard to learn. Can
anyone suggest some help with this...or advise on how to run it...support?
Training in New York was good...but a litte overwhelming. Too much all at
once. Can anyone help me with this?

Music Master, worldwide, has probably more installs. The Windows version is so incredible I can not start to describe it, so the best is to go to www.mmwin.com and look at it. All our stations are on it or converting.

Musicgen from Prophet Systems... (The makers of NEXGEN automation systems (used world-wide by Clear Channel...) The Lite version is free.. Works great!

MusicGen license is A LOT cheaper than Selector. CC will eventually be going to MusicGen for that reason. CC Toledo uses MusicGen.

I don't deal with Traffic software, but places I've worked have used Marketron or CBSI. The latter not being very good.
Edited by bigwoody on 01/24/06 07:33 PM.

I used CBSI when I was doing traffic at a station several years ago. I absolutely hated working with it. DARTS was worse, though, so the switch we made to CBSI was an improvement. A bit easier to generate reports with the detail that the salesmonkeys (and Corporate) wanted. I have talked with some who use Visual Traffic and they seem to like it well enough, though I have never worked with it personally. Certainly any of these systems beats doing the whole deal by hand! :)

Ok...let me ask you this...When you used it..did you have to
have administrative rights to run it? I hate this! How can I fix
it to work under my login? Otherwise ... I'm all for Selector
once it's up and running.

Other CC markets are also using MG now. I suspect since CC has hands in Prophet Systems, More CC markets use it.

CC To change over to Selector?

http://www.radioandrecords.com/Newsroom/2006_01_26/sourceclear.asp

After reading this I can’t help but wonder if CC is about to change over to Selector, since apparently they possibly own it now.

Where would one be able to find MusicGen Lite? Prophet doesn't offer it on their site any longer.
______________
