Traffic.com dumped for inferior Metro Traffic product from Sirius

As of early today (Jan 16,) XM/Sirius dumped Traffic.com and went exclusively with Metro Traffic. For one, the traffic channels on XM changed. And, if you're in Dallas-Fort Worth, like me, you now have to put up with a SHARED channel for BOTH Dallas-FW and Houston.

It was all about expense. Metro came in with a considerably lower offer that Traffic.com couldn't touch. But you get what you pay for...and I'm dumping the full package now for the music-only package---that extra $3 a month I was spending was strictly to get Traffic.com's reports.

Then again, Westwood One, part of CBS (and Metro's parent company,) traded at 6 cents today, so perhaps it's just a matter of time.

I still swear Mel is running some back-room deals with CBS radio. Too many former CBS people in charge of SiriusXM, too many deals being made with CBS Radio-owned companies, too many DJ's being shared with CBS Radio's stations. There's gotta be something sneaky going on there.

yup time to scale down to just music. speaking of scaling down, has anyone noticed their 60's play list? Its repetition is hauntingly reminding me of FM. Phlash Phelps must be gritting his teeth.

This "combining " of traffic and weather is bad. They combined Chicago and St Louis. Man, those 2 towns aren't even close to each other. Bad move. I really couldn't wait for the merger, but so far I have been disappointed in most of the changes. Question; for the average listener, what has been the upside?

THEY MERGED ST. LOUIS WITH CHICAGO ?? THAT'S LIKE WHAT IT WAS B4 THE MERGER!!!

UR RIGHT - THERE HASN'T BEEN AN UPSIDE TO THIS MERGED B.S CRAP - MEL IS RUINING IT FOR ALL OF US!!!

ALL BC OF MEL'S POOR BUSINESS DECISION'S ON THOSE LOAN NOTES - THE A**CLOWN (MEL) HAS US (THE PAYING CONSUMER) TO MAKE US PAY FOR HIS (MEL) BAD DECISION'S

ITS ALL B.S-

Atlanta and Miami (South Florida) are now on the same channel. It seems like forever listening through all of the South Florida stuff.

I will say the announcers seem to really know more about Atlanta. With the old service they sometimes just listed exit numbers and state road numbers rather than the name that is commonly used.
