Traffic Information for KROI and KTRH websites

Looking for infomation about the truck accident on the Katy Freeway today, I looked at the traffic website for News 92 FM today for the first time. They get the data from Sigalert.com (which I thought only covered California, but I was very wrong about that) which has more detailed MPH information (more data points) than HoustonTranstar.org (although HoustonTranstar.org has the traffic cams). However, I was surprised to read about Sigalert.com being owned by ClearChannel...surprised that it would be used by a non-Clear Channel Station. I looked at KTRH's web site, and not sure where their traffic feed comes from, but clicking to sign up for a traffic alert leads to a link at totaltraffic.hipcricket.com, not sigalert.com. Clear Channel must be running sigalert.com as a very separate business.

Also, Sigalert.com has a very odd map. Galveston Island is missing. Seawall Blvd/San Luis Pass Road is on the map, but appears to be in the ocean. I guess with hurricanes and erosion, eventually this will be the map, but it is a bit disturbing now. Also they leave off a lot of towns, such as Bryan/College Station, Conroe, Huntsville, Livingston, The Woodlands and put smaller towns on the map instead.

I could see where one would think that sigalert.com might just be for California as the term was coined in Los Angeles by KMPC's Loyd Sigmon.
