Traffic slowed by men in briefs

What station were they promoting???

Traffic slowed by men in briefs

By BILL MILLER

Star-Telegram Staff Writer

Onlooker delay hampered traffic on Interstate 20 at Cooper Street at about 7:30 a.m. today, but motorists weren't "rubbernecking" an accident.
They were observing five men stripped down to their undergarments and holding signs, a police dispatcher said.

She said a police officer observed the men and was escorting them to another location, but they weren't under arrest. She said the officer reported that they were conducting a promotion for a local FM radio station.

Radio traffic reporters said the men were dressed only athletic supporters. The dispatcher said the officer on scene said they were in their undershorts. The real skinny was undetermined at 8 a.m.

Fruits of the Loom, no doubt. What was their slogan? Please listen to us "briefly"? Was it for p&K?

Re: Traffic slowed by men in briefs...KJKK

Jack FM, their signs said something to do with being in "JACKstraps." Oh, well, guess it got a one-shot, 15 mins of attention, much like the station's TSL.

Nah, they just showed the cops their credentials, and the cops felt sorry for them. I'd love to know who exactly they were. Kurt, of course, and however many board ops and promotions people they could gather up, and maybe Ongaro, etc.
