Tragic Day For Dance Music

We, in New York City, have offered our deepest condolences to everyone affected by this unfortunate tragedy. :'(

The SADDEST part out of all this are all of the snarky comments that are posted on the news websites from people. They want to blame everything (drugs, gays, etc.) and bash on "techno". The ignorance is coming out in full steam with these people that want to blame everything in the world than what it is.....an UNFORTUNATE tragedy.

Just as when 100 rock fans were killed watching a rock concert (Great White) at The Station in Warwick, Rhode Island years ago. Though in the latter, that didn't have to happen if the owners didn't allow the pyrotechnics to occur in the first place. In the case of Love Parade, it was just overcrowding. :'(

I'm sorry, just letting out my emotions about this. My heart continues to go out to all of the people affected by this. :(

My condulences go out to those who lost their loved ones. This is indeed a sad day for a tragedy to occur in one of the biggest dance parties in my heritage country. I remember the Capitol Hill murdering in Seattle back in 2006, and some wack jobs praised the guy for killing those DJ's and ravers.

We all in the dance community would like to send out our deepest condolences to those who lost their lives in the Love Parade Festival.

I know Paul Van Dyk also heard about this as well.

The BBC website is reporting that organizers of the Love Parade have said that that was the last Love Parade and that the 1.4 miliion crowd estimate by the German media was probably grossly exaggerated.

This is nothing new. Yahoo! News, World Cup Site, YouTube...etc. The comments section of all those and similar places are ALWAYS full of it, regardless of subject.

My heart and goes out to those who lost their lives and their family's as well, But like everything else, they will blame the music for it, when in fact no matter what kind of music was player,,, Country for that matter, this could have still happened.

Actually guys, nobody's blaming the music. The problem's got to do with poor planning and execution by the promoters of the events. I mean think about - 1.5 million people boxed into an area with few exits is a logistical nightmare no matter how big of a place you rent out

The media isn't doing that, I agree. It's just the stupid comments people post afterwards. The media reported this as is, and YES, this was poor planning.

The decision to make this the last Love Parade is one I agree and respect out of those that lost their lives.
