Trainwreck 97.5

97.5 competes with 101.1, 106.1, 94.5, 93.7, 95.7, and, to a lesser extent, 102.1 and 96.5.

And it is not doing fine. It has a 1.6. It may be too early to tell, but that's not fine.

They are not doing fine by any means, although it's still too early for judgement. If they stay at this level it will prove that Philadelphia is the single worst market for Hot AC. What's interesting is that Hot AC is a PPM friendly format. Many ACs nationally that did poorly with the diary are doing great with PPM. Will 97.5 be the exception?

Mybe they should do year round x-mas format.(LOL0 That's the only format they actually had good ratings with. The next question is will they actually stick with the current format or flip again?

My thing is if you're going to try something stick with it don't give up after 3 or 4 mos. I think they were doing pretty well as an AC outlet.

I hope that they start playing Christmas tunes before the kids start begging the neighbors for candy. And I hope it's like last year's Christmas format, and no Christmas songs from the years I have been alive, and especially no songs by American Idol rejects.

For those who might think their poor numbers are "just 6+", they ranked #22 25-54 in May. It stll is early though.

If 97.5 will only be successful in November and December, does it matter what its regular format is the other 10 months? Bring back Sunny!
