Trans-Pacific Station #4 Logged!! 9/19/2012

This morning, it was a good day for trans-pacific reception. Barefoot on a Grundig G5, carriers were all over the band, including a new log...

747: JOIB Sapporo, Japan: Man and woman talking to each other in JJ, poor-fair at 0630 PDT 9/19, over KXTG splatter. Not sure if it was actually JJ talk or EE lessons, but I did ID Japanese. NEW #451, 500kw, 4387 miles!

Also noted: Carriers all over the band, including a strong JOUB carrier on 774 but no audio, 594, 693, 657, 828, weak 837, 1287, 1134, 972, 1323, etc.

What I think I was hearing now was a man and woman in both JJ and Chinese, as Chinese lessons were noted by other local DXers on 774 which // 747 Sapporo.

Plus last night the NE conditions were good, CJYM 1330 completely over KKPZ, CFYM 1210 around 0600 this morning over KMIA, KSTP last night as well as CFRY-920 in Portage La Prairie, MB.

Nice catches, crainbo. Although the distances for TP DX are generally further, than for TA DX, there's certainly a nice number of power houses, to go after on the left coast. :D
