Translator on 99.3

Just curious about something: There is a translator on 99.3 that currently simulcasts 620 The Buzz. How long has Capitol had this translator on the air? I wonder if Capitol will feed WCMC-HD3 (99.9-HD3 "The Ticket") through a translator like Clear Channel's 95X (whose main signal resides on G105's HD2)?

That's W257CS, and it's been on-air with WDNC programming for a few months now. Capitol bought it and W246CG (97.1/Durham) from His Radio WRTP. They've upgraded W257CS to 250 watts from a tower near the Fairgrounds and have a CP to move W246CG from 1 watt at 97.1 atop Signal Hill (off NC 157 NW of Durham) to 250 watts at 96.5 from the tower on Rose of Sharon Road that supports WNCU-FM and WTNC-LP TV. Looks like the plans for both are to bring WDNC to analog FM--96.5 translating the AM 620 signal and 99.3 as a fill-in translator for WCMC-FM rebroadcasting their HD-2 channel, which has simulcast WDNC for several years now.
