Transmitter data?

I've always been a really easily entertained, and curious, person.

One thing I've always been wondering is if there happens to be any way of finding out what make/model of transmitter an AM or FM station is using here in the US.

Does anybody know if such a thing exists, most likely being through the FCC? I know you can see the make/model info for STL licenses, but I haven't found anything for actual AM/FM licenses yet. So far, the only way of telling what a station might happen to be using is via Form 399 apps, and even then, that's mostly for TV.

There is no database, nor filing with the Commission that exists for make or model of transmitter at any station. As long as the transmitter is type accepted, and operates at the licensed TPO, that's the only thing that matters.
