Transmitter Fire Knocks out 1420 WLIS Old Saybrook

The website for WLIS in Old Saybrook is reporting that they were the victim of an electrical fire on 9/25 which destroyed their transmitter leaving them off the air until further notice. http://www.wliswmrd.net/ Furthermore a friend of mine found a video circulating the internet filmed on 9/25 of a cooked Transmitter and we put 2 and 2 together and figure it's gotta be WLIS, so I put the video on YOUTUBE.

Wow, September 25th eh? It took a while for this to be reported. Thanks Marc. Let's hope Old Saybrook's only radio station gets back on the air again soon.
