Does anyone know if there is an online database that gives the street location of the transmitter sites of United States commercial radio stations?

I don't know of a website that has that information, but with a liitle work you can find a google map of the location.

First, go to the FCC web site and get the Latitude and longtitude of the station's xmtr. For example if I wanted to find the xmtr location of WTKK in
Boston, I would type in:

http://www.fcc.gov/fcc-bin/fmq?call=WTKK

Give it a few second and you see the site with the Lat & Long of the xmtr site. In this case, 42 degrees, 20 minutes, 50 seconds North Latitude,
71 degrees, 4 minutes, 59 seconds west longitude.

Ok, now we have to change those numbers to a number with a decimal percent. First the latitude...

Divide the 50 (seconds) by 60 giving .833
Add the .833 to the 20 minutes giving 20.833
Divide the 20.833 by 60 giving .347
Add the .347 to the 42 degrees giving 42.347

Now the longitude
Divide the 59 second by 60 giving .983
Add the .983 to the 4 minutes giving 4.983
Divide the 4.983 by 60 giving .083
Add the .083 to the 71 degrees giving 71.083

Make the 71.083 a minus since it's west of Greenwich

Go to maps.google.com and in the searchbox type in those two numbers, separated by a comma...

42.347, -71.083

You'll see the resulting map points you almost exactly to the location of the Prudential Tower. What's even cooler with the Google map is that if you press the Satellite button on the map you'll see a satellite view of the city and you can zoom in on the picture.

Radio Locator won't give you the street addresses.

A better site to go to is www.fccinfo.com

Enter the call sign, click search, click on the license and then MAP in the top right. Simple.

Well, there are two ways I know of, and enjoy.
First is to go to Radio-Locator and get the lat and long Coordance
of the desired station. Here is WBZ for example.

http://www.radio-locator.com/cgi-bin/finder?sr=Y&s=C&is_lic=Y&is_unl=Y&is_cp=Y&call=wbz

Then, you can go here and enter LAT-LONG nbrs and often see the tower
locations on the topo map if it's a promonant tower site.
The ever favorite Topozone.com

1)
Here is my favorite link for this site:

http://www.topozone.com/viewmaps.asp

Move to the BOTTOM of this page, and enter the coordance.

The coordance for WBZ is (42° 16' 44" N, 70° 52' 34" W) according to
the Radio-Locator site. Be sure to enter the Longitude degrees as
a minus. It should look like this:
42 16 44
-70 52 34

Then just click the MAP button.

2)
This is another recent fun way to sometimes "see" the transmitting tower.
Simply copy the coordance exactly off the Radio-Locator site (CTL C), and paste it
into Google Maps (CTL V). Then click on satellite button and zoom right into the towers!!
http://maps.google.com/
Copy this ---> 42° 16' 44" N, 70° 52' 34" W <--Exactly from Radio-Locator,
and paste it in the above Google Maps link for an example.
Oh yea, and feel free to drag the image for a look around..

Some other interesting tower images:
WRKO Copy and paste in --> 42° 29' 25" N, 71° 13' 05" W
WTTT Copy and paste in --> 42° 24' 48" N, 71° 12' 40" W
FM 128 Copy and paste in > 42° 18' 27" N, 71° 13' 27" W
WTAG Copy and paste in --> 42° 20' 13" N, 71° 49' 15" W
WEEI Copy and paste in --> 42° 16' 41" N, 71° 16' 02" W
WBBR Copy and paste in --> 40° 48' 39" N, 74° 02' 24" W
WWRL Copy and paste in --> 40° 47' 44" N, 74° 03' 18" W
WZRC Copy and paste in --> 40° 50' 42" N, 74° 01' 12" W
WQEW Copy and paste in --> 40° 43' 00" N, 73° 55' 04" W
WBT Copy and paste in --> 35° 07' 56" N, 80° 53' 23" W
KOKC (The old KOMA) -----> 35° 19' 60" N, 97° 30' 16" W
WLW Copy and paste in --> 39° 21' 11" N, 84° 19' 30" W

OK, I got a bit carried away.... Sorry.... :>)
