Tremendous FM Tropo DX Last Night

There were excellent FM conditions last afternoon / night between Duluth, Minnesota and western Nebraska / Kansas.

I first noticed conditions were up with an afternoon logging of 88.7 KLNE Lexington, NE (567 miles) with All Things Considered. I mistook it for E-Skip it was so strong. A somewhat noisy 103.1 KKJK from Ravenna, NE (522 miles) was in, a relog with a new format (the last time I logged them they were rock).

93.9, 96.1, 103.9, and 105.3 from McCook were in, with 93.9 coming in almost noise-free on my APS-9B / XDR-F1HD combo. The stations range from 619 to 622 miles distant.

97.7 KMTY Gibbon, NE also faded over WAQE to give calls.

101.1 KFNF from Oberlin, KS, just south of McCook, was in like a local from 636 miles away.

Also coming in were pretty much every station from the Aberdeen and Redfield markets on frequencies not occupied by locals; I logged most of them last summer but 105.5 KMOM Roscoe, SD (324 miles) was new for me.

I tried for some of the "empty quarter" NE CO stations without success.
