Re: TRENDS: my thoughts.

WMMR seems to be settling in a bit...and you can now see the classic Greater Media pattern of behvior amongst their stations - cannibalization. This time it is WMMR versus WMGK. Why the F do they not protect their stations, and isolate the target demos? WMMR M18-34, WMGK M25-54, WBEN W18-49. Simple.

Somehow though, WMMR is well ahead of WMGK in 25-54, making the only unique selling point for WMGK that they are a cheeper alternative to their sister station WMMR. So stupid.

Kidd Chris IS the only bright spot for WYSP, and SHOULD be their morning show. Judging by his strong trend, I am certain he would give P&S and run for their money.

Lastly, too bad Lassie (Morning Coffee Runner Justice) is gone, cause I would love for him to explain how Q102 HAS GONE UP SIGNIFICANTLY in 18-34 6a-10a now that Chico is gone. Oh, I think I have the answer; it's Todd Shannon's fault. That is the new Chico and No Men Show catch-phrase, no? When Wired tumbles and flips that's what they will all say - it's Todd Shannon's fault.

Yo Cuz, you do realize that right after "it's Todd Shannon's fault", the next excuse will be "the evening show doesn't retain listeners". The theory being that when you turn on your car for the morning commute you will listen to whatever station you left on the night before.

So, when Chico and No Men come in strong at 12-17 and nothing else, you will be the first to get cut. I've seen it, it ain't pretty.
