With Jack's arrival in the market we can expect some future shakeup. It will be most interesting to see how well Jack does (or does not) and which stations get most impacted by Jack. In the meantime, what are your thoughts on Friday's pre-Jack trend? Here are the stations that had trends higher or lower than their normal range:
Higher than normal
KWNR:One of their best trends ever!
KWID:This is the huge story that nobody talks about on this board. I realize the reason it get's so little attention is that few people here listen to Spanish language radio. Still, as a radio person you have to have appreciation for the ratings success La Preciosa is having. When Wild 102 switched to this format the reaction around town was "that's all we need, yet another Hispanic station". Few people predicted it would become the top Spanish language station and #2 overall rated station in Las Vegas.
Lower than normal
KJUL:Should they move towards AC?
KXTE:I expected a trend like this after Stern was gone, not before.
KISF:Less than a year ago they were tied for #1, this trend they are #13. A victim of La Preciosa. The question is will the KWID-KISF race start to tighten up now that the newness factor for 101.9 wears off? Or will the gap stay as large as it is today?
