Trends? Ratings? Anyone got em?

I don't know if I would ever describe GST as a winner.

How is it that 99x does not register at all. They could not have just fell below 0.5 so quickly?

Some observations:

Looks like the Fish got a nice pop...Christmas music?
Ditto for the Bull. I bet the Bull will get an even bigger pop next book without Eagle and the mess at Kicks.
Z90Dave continues its slide...wonder how it will do without 99Xcrement in the picture.
Both of CC's Latino stations lost a combined 0.7 share...that's a lot for them...and that's without PPMs.

I'm trending away from listening to podcasts on the commute in and am now listening to the regular guys. Gotta love clayton county spelling bee.

The Winter book started January 10th. Cumulus announced that 99X was going off the air on the 11th. (It was officially gone on the 25th.) So 99X would have had no impact on this book. Regardless, it's hard to say where those two weeks would have been counted. (You could argue either as the first two weeks of what was reported for WWWQ or for WNNX, but I don't know if Arbitron follows the frequency or the callsign - I assume it follows the frequency, which would put it at the front end of Q100's book.)

It wasn't 99X that didn't appear on this book - it was Rock 100.5. Light stick with the word still getting out - low numbers are certainly within the realm of possibility. Though, if I were Cumulus, I would be checking into it. (Then again, if I were Cumulus, I would have access to the raw numbers.)

As hard as it is for me to understand at times, the 680 domination of 790 is now becoming much more than just a trend.
They have clearly set themselves as the choice of Atlanta sports fans.
I listen to both stations and each year 680 gets more of my time.
As recent as four years ago I was a 80-20 Zone guy, now I am easily 50-50, if not 60-40 680.
790 is getting beaten at their own game.
790 used to boast the better guest list. For the drop ins, they are still ahead. 680 has the better every week, appointment listening guests and insiders now. Do I want to hear from Lenny Pasquerelli or Mort? Do I want to hear GA Football news from an AJC writer or Buck Belue? College Football news from Kirk Herbstreet or Chris Dimino?
I am not floored that Buck and Kincade hum along as they have been doing roughly top 6 Men 25-54 for over three years in most books, but look at the mornings. Rude and Perry are continuing to hand it to the Mayhem crew and that shocks me.
Rude is a very easy listen in the mornings and I find his style so much easier to take at 7:20 to 8:15 than Steak and the boys fighting for air time.

Hoo Boy what a dogfight this is! It's like watching the Devil Rays and the Royals slug it out in September!!

exactly.
scary that me and tibbs agree on somethng

In the Fall 680 was 5th or 6th in mornings, mid-days and drive time with 25-54 Males.
The advertisers for sports radio don't care about 12+ numbers.
Sports serves a target audience and can be very profitable.
With numbers like that it should be very profitable, especially with 5 daytime hours of syndication for the Dickey's.

Keep telling yourself ratings don't mean a thing. Stations that keep saying that are always at the bottom of the ratings list, and eventually end up going belly up.
