Well....this is an interesting book. the next station rumored to flip (WOGL) tied for third. the new r&b ties with heritage station. we play what we want to shows life. sunny is partly cloudy and gospel has found a niche in philly.
 
Being from Allentown and driving to Philly, I'm lucky if I can pickup WRNB on the Turnpike and Schuykill Expressway and they are carrying a 4.2....Congrats to them

It's amazing how well Radio one's WRNB has done in less than 6 months, it pretty much cut WDAS's audience in half. And whp would have thought gospel would have done so well. It's also obvious that the old Y100 listeners have migrated to WMMR with MMR being up nicely.Also with WOGL being ranked 3rd, I don't think they'll be flipping to anything anytime soon.

Despite demographic issues (is the audience too old for advertisers?) it's clear that there is a solid audience for WOGL, no matter what many of us here think of the limited, repetitive playlist, and there's no trend away to WPEN as some thought would happen. Apparently the blend of late '60's to mid'70's soul, Motown & pop/rock hits plays well here, and should ensure their survival for at least a little while.
 
Also with WOGL being ranked 3rd, I don't think they'll be flipping to anything anytime soon.

That is a very interesting point, but remember 30 years ago, WCAU-FM dumped its heritage oldies format with a 4.4 rating I believe, and left the whole ball of wax interestingly to WPEN, who messed it up. They gambled on this new format that Stevens/Keating drummed up called Disco and had a 0.5 first book and never really rebounded or achieved the 4.0+ that they had with Solid Gold Radio. So I guess to sum this all up, Infinity can still flip OGL to JACK, its been done before, no matter what the ratings.

How is OGL doing in 18 to 34? That is all Infinity cares about?
