The big story is in the extraps. some stations are hanging on to big numbers that they will loose in all probablility by when the book drops

really? you mean some months are bigger than others? i thought there was always severe drops and gains month to month? that's why you have to look at the entire book!
 
I could really do without the sarcasm. Someone wanted numbers, they got them. We do all know the numbers vary, but if you have been doing this longer than an hour, sometimes the extraps are meaningful in a story they tell for the benefit of other who might not know. Severe drops is exactly the point, but not all stations "severely" fluctuate, and i pointed out that there are some potential severe corrections on the horizon.

As much as I love V103 (WVEE), I'm tired of seeing them hold the number 1 spot book after book! I think it's time to give V a run for their money!!! Who's up for the challenge?
 
Did any stations pull a no show that maybe had minimal numbers in the last book?

As opposed to WSB-AM holding it? WVEE hasn't been holding it for that long.
 
I know the final book could be different, but at this point, Dave is the 3rd lowest 12+ FM in the market. Among the 100kw legacy stations, its dead last. Just the off-beat niche stations separate it from the bottom. Too bad, b/c the music is great.

Would be interesting to chart their rate card in the last 24 months. Still not a terrible qualitative buy, b/c the avg. listener is still more attractive than the other male-oriented music stations.

Regular Guys down a TON in both demos.

bad month yes.. not down a ton trending for 3 months but it was a bad month. feb was a bad one.. it was replaced by may. you must be looking at a single month which is a small sample with no weighting.. garbage my boy, garbage. what did your month look like? :)

I was looking at May, which is what the question was about. What do you call a 50% hit over there at Clear Channel?
 
Maybe you should contact Arbitron about their sampling, you guys are definitely getting the shaft.
