Trends???

Here are the 25-54 rankings for DEC-JAN-FEB. I will make mention of any station that had an unusually good or bad February. Of course keep in mind extraps should be taken with a grain of salt, lot's of crazy flukey things can and do happen during any individual month.

1.LA NUEVA: #1 25-54 and 18-34. In double digits AM drive.

2.SUNNY: A sub-par February. For example Delilah is normally #1 at night, in February she was below a 1 share! Like I said crazy things can happen in extraps.

3.MIX: A very good February. Mark and Mercedes are worth the $$$ they make.

4.HOT: Their best trend ever. #1 English language 18-34 and top 5 25-54.

5.LA PRECIOSA: Will drop off a great December

6.KWNR: Will drop off a bad December

7.OASIS: #1 English language TSL station

8.KLUC: Down due to dropping off a huge NOV

9.KOMP: Perhaps the most steady, consistent station. Little fluctuation month to month.

10.TRI-COLOR: Two good months in a row

11.EXTREME: Excellent February! Their best month of the post-Howard Stern era.

12.POINT: #1 for classic rock

13.PARTY: Dissapointing FEB after encouraging JAN

14.COYOTE: Rob Banks WAY up at night. He had a HUGE February and that's an understatement.

15.JACK: Exactly where many predicted they (or should I say he) would be at this point of the life cycle. Will the recent shift into more of a rock direction help?

16.RECUERDO: Beats Preciosa is several markets, but not Las Vegas.

16.KKLZ: For the first time in a long time they aren't the last place (full signal) FM.

18.KXNT: Call of the Wild will be happy to know KXNT had a terrible February. Talk radio ratings are so bad in Vegas and getting worse.

19.STAR: Replaces KKLZ as the new last place FM.

20.KBAD: ESPN radio 920 was the top rated AM station for the month of February.
 
Sunny wont be number 1 in the book...The Oasis is softer than Sunny, who in their infinite wisdom, took Tom off the morning show and has him voice tracking middays(bad move, way to leave the door open for The Oasis to walk right in...CC is messing up bigtime! The Party is a joke!(end of the road by Boys II Men...name a club or party where you have heard that song in the past 10 years!) Wake up! A format like that plays slow music, much less, any current KLUC type music will continue to fail---with 1 or 2 live jocks, you will continue to fail....KWNR without Stunt Runt(Coyote's night numbers were through the roof) hmmm...let's see...Coyote live...KWNR live from New Mexico...game over! Speaking of game over...Jack don't know Jack about radio, that fad is OVER...bring back the NEW KLASSY 100! KJUL continues to amaze me...despite the worst FM vegas singal, they beat Jack, Star, KKLZ, and several others! Love to hear any thoughts...when does the book come out?
