Iheart radio has named Morini to PD at CHR outlet KHFI-FM

iHeartMedia Austin names Trevor Morini as Program Director for CHR KHFI-FM (96.7 KISS FM) and KASE-FM-HD2 (Alt 97.5)/Austin, effective immediately. Morini has been with iHeartMedia for 3 years, most recently serving as Program Director and afternoon host for CHR KTBT-FM (92.1 The Beat)/Tulsa. He began his career in radio on Cape Cod and has previously worked as Assistant Program Director and on air personality at Cumulus's WWKX-FM (Hot 106)/Providence.

"We are thrilled to have Trevor come on board to lead 96.7 KISS FM," said iHeartMedia Austin/San Antonio President Matt Martin. "He is a talented programmer and will be a great addition to the station. We could not be more excited to have him on the team."

Hopefully they stop speeding the music up and maybe he can tell his co-worker at 102-3 The Beat to add more hip-hop and less pop.
 
We Need More Dance In Austin MayBe Pride Can Move To 102.3 HD-1
 
I suggest they take out 102-7 since 103-1 is already Spanish pop.
Mega could move to 102-7 like it was briefly a few years ago, that would be easy as they're the same owners as Mega (Emmis).
I like dance music myself, but am straight so I find it hard to identify too closely to the gay pride movement.
