When I lived in New York, virtually every morning show was on vacation the week after the Arbitron survey was completed. Of course, they can't do that now with PPM.

How many vacation days does a typical morning drive show take in a year?

Depends on the contract. In a top ten market, two to four not counting the week of Christmas / New Years is usually the norm. Some "teams" can have part of the "team" out at various times. PPM will limit vacations in the future. Then there is the danger of burning out talent.

This week, "Moby In The Morning" is on vacation, while his co-host/music director Sandy Weaver is holding down the fort. Last week, Moby was in, while Sandy was off.

I suppose a "Regular Guy" show wouldn't work for two weeks?
