TRG this morning? MIA?

So it appears that TRG are on reruns today, after stating in yesterday's podcast that they'll be on today. Also, on their page on the Rock 100.5 website, the planned activities for this week are suddenly missing....

Have they been fired again? Are they taking an unplanned vacation? Suspended? Or am I just paranoid?

Seems to me if they have been fired they wouldn't be running archives and they would've pulled promos of upcoming appearances.

When TRG 1.0 got fired, the continued to play promos and best of's for a few weeks while the "decision" was made (and the syndication deal with Bob & Tom was inked). Though, CC and Crumbulus tend to go about firing people differently, or so I'd figure....

It could be - but I hope not - something with "Loo" Rickman.
But, then again - it could be anything.

I do not think they were canned. They were running a pretty
clean show (as stated in another post). Honestly, I have only
been a fan since early 2001, but I think they sound better than
they have in a long time (since back when they used to hang up
on Tommy instead of letting him ramble on until he was finished...
or worse yet play his piano for 5 minutes).

I heard the tail end of the cast introductions this morning at around 6:10 and thought it was live. Then they went to traffic and teased upcoming bits on the Worst of the Regular Guys.

Why waste time running old cast intros? Do they always do this?

I caught most of the first segment, Larry and Tim talking about
the 100% bacon burger and bacon popcorn. Then Larry proclaimed
Tim the "Snack Czar" and how he will have his own snack segment
every so often. That's when I knew they were running BestOfs.

But it did sound a little weird that the first segment would include
introductions. Maybe they are trying to make it sound more like a
regular show. I'm pretty sure they do not run intro segments on
the Saturday BestOfs. Right?

I just spoke with Gary Lewis. Larry Wachs caught the flu, had to bow out this morning. And in "all for one, one for all" fashion, they chose to run a best of instead of trudge along without Larry. Wouldn't that be cool if your workplace was like that? Your boss is sick. YOU get the day off, too!

Thanks for checking. When it comes to TRG, you never know.

If Wachs is sick again tomorrow can we all have the day off?

As someone outside your region but who checks the Atlanta board to laugh at the topics that get discussed for hours, days, and weeks that wouldn't even rate a mention in most other markets......I have to say that you non-radio folk who post from your work computers day in and day out are on permanent vacations. Do your bosses ever suggest that you focus on your jobs?

I am the boss. Now, back to work slacker!

I'm glad they replayed Ron White and his story about doing a set while dosed on acid. I missed that the first time.

A true case of the pot calling the kettle black. Dude, you clearly have way too much time on your hands if you don't even live in the region and you check the boards just to laugh at the topics....then compare them to other markets...then muse about the message posters' jobs. Maybe it's time for a hobby. Or a puppy. Or a girlfriend.

So, how are things in America's 39th Market? Boring?

I would add something, but it seems everyone has thoroughly trounced you.

Special kudos to sidechick1. Ouch!
