Nice jump for PulseFM which has now overtaken G105 which continues its slide to the bottom. Just a tenth of a point, but impressive. Mainly considering the signal change from 102.5 to the two translators. I guess enough listeners are finding them. The numbers have gone up consistently since the flip from 102.5 to the two translators - does the signal setup for Pulse now actually benefit it more?

B93.9 is sitting a point ahead of 94.7 QDR

Nice one point gain for KIX 102. Perhaps more listeners are coming across the new simulcast frequencies.
 
Oldies on 100.7 wasn't "botched". When it flipped Nov 2004 the station was #2 P35-64, #1 P45-54 (and beat sister WRDU for M25-54). It was a revenue issue (four sales ppl includng the LSM. that's it) as well as the fact that then SVPP Marc Chase didn't "get" oldies. He flipped eight stations in the SE in 2002-04 (yet somehow WBIG, a terrible station, was kept). Now with PPM oldies/classic hits enjoying much success. Success that most programmers of the format knew it still had in it, especially with boomers, but couldn't get anyone to acknowledge up the "brain chain". Even CC is now using "oldies" in positioning, something the company was against in the early 00's. Oldies in positioning for KLOU/St Louis and KJR/Seattle. Many companies putting the format on the air in favor of rock or AC. Chicago has two "battling", WJMK and WLS-FM.
 
Wow! WPTF is ahead of G-105. Must be the first time that's happened in decades. Does someone eventually blink in the G vs. Pulse CHR battle?

Capitol's flanker sports format "Buzz 620/1550" went from 0.3 to hashmarks this book, while the "WRAL News Plus" they replaced it with on FM stays steady again at 0.3.

Looking at G105’s website, the station is mostly voicetracked from other markets outside of the morning show; even more than average for the normal iHeart CHR in a top 50 market, and especially one that used to be as successful as G105. I wonder if it’s that much of an afterthought and Pulse is working to engage listeners more, and it’s paying off?

Signal wise, Pulse lost the southern part of Durham county without 102.5, but they added the 104.7 signal which more strongly covers the western part of Cary and the Morrisville/RTP area than 96.9 or 102.5 did. Perhaps that’s a factor.
