Triangle Sports Talk 1490/1090 dead?

I'm curious, too.... It's been dead at least since Monday so far as I can tell... would be a shame... just started to get comfortable with the ESPN formats on that station.

Been sniffing around at 620 and 850... only thing I can half way dig so far is Logan's show.

I heard the Christmas music too this morning, but no station ID. Does anyone know what the station is called now? I tried WTSB 1090, and it barely came in (more static than music) but what little came in sounded like it is still simulcasting with WDUR 1490.

They're running somewhat abrupt legal IDs, but they don't give any new positioning, just 1090 WTSB, Selma-Raleigh, 1490 WDUR, Durham-Chapel Hill. I've heard some ads running as well, but no sweepers or any other transitional elements back to the Christmas tunes.

Yeah, they are abrupt but at least I've got it on the air. Besides, it's only temporary.

Probably until Davidson Media signs the purchase contract, LMA's them to sell more brokered hispanic programming, and moves at least WDUR up to 707 Leon Street.

Just a guess, folks...no inside info here.

Later....

Let's hope it's not Davidson...they own 3 stations in Greenville, SC and they're always going off, having sound trouble, going from Mono to Stereo, background interference, etc. With La Ley and other Spanish AMs, I don't see how two more Spanish stations could survive.
