This is too bad. I like the new look of "TXX" and really enjoy FOX61's Morning Show when I'm home to watch it. Maybe Washington will give Tribune a bail-out too (insert sarcasm here). God knows our local media affects us more directly than anything going on in Detroit!![]()
It's interesting that when WTNH and WFSB reported this news, they both only mentioned the Hartford Courant, WTIC-TV|FOX61, and weekly publications. Neither of them mentioned WTXX. Am I missing something here: is WTXX owned by someone else or is the staff at 3 and 8 ignorant of the fact WTXX is owned by Tribune too?
Either way, I hope WTIC-TV doesn't back out their plans to add a noon and evening newscast this spring. We need more choice here.

I would doubt that. I read somewhere FOX Network requires all the affiliates to have a 10PM Newscast at the minimum. Not all Tribune stations are affiliated with The CW. A couple others besides WTIC-TV are affiliated with FOX.
