Radio personality Ken Meyer’s disability never got in the way of his success - Fifty Plus Advocate

By Sharon Oliver Contributing Writer BOSTON - Former WBZ-AM radio talk show producer Ken Meyer passed away on August 23, 2025. He was 79 years old. The Producer and on-air host Ken Meyer was one of Boston's most respected broadcasters and the first blind radio personality in the city’s history.

I don't know how I missed this. Thirty years after the fact, I asked Kenny if remembered a call I arranged for Larry Glick. Call was to a good ol' boy Texan, guy had Glick in tears with his accent and repeated use of the workd "booger." Ken remembered it well as that call was made just a few weeks before the debut of "WKRP in Cincinnati" where "booger" was an integral part of that first episode.
