Gonna have to search your memory banks first. Dust off the webs. You first have to remember the song "Little Blue Man" circa '56/'58. Cannot recall the original artist (guess that's trivia to...lol - to me, anyway)

But here is the trivia question: Who did the Little Blue Man's voice on that novelty song? ....as he falls from the top of the building..."I don't wuv you anymore."

Learned that piece of trivia when I wrote for a newsletter some years back. Came across that bit of info when researching....wish I could remember the artist.

I have no doubt it's simple trivia to many of you. But if by chance I found a stumper, I'll post the answer in a few days. (hint: initials are H.D.)

I believe her name was Betty Johnson. 1957-58.

yes, it was Betty Johnson...and it was 1958, february that it hit the top 40 on billboard...

Initials were unnecessary...

It was former 20/20 Anchor Hugh Downs.

I spoke with her on the phone a few years back and she said it wasn't Hugh. She wouldn't say who it was but said that was not true even though it was listed in the Billboad books and such.

Hugh Downs was exactly the answer I was going to provide. I sure wish she would have told you who it was. I wonder why the "secrecy", or confidentiality, or whatever you want to call it?

Yes, I have heard controversy about that too. But who would want to admit to being the voice of the little blue man? Maybe it was H.D. and he wants to disavow it, so there is a conspiracy to cover his identity.

This may be the biggest controversy in rock and roll since the one about what was actually said by The Flamingos in I Only Have Eyes For You. You know, the bob shu bob sound. What were they really saying?

What about the Beatles (Paul and George, particularly) in the background of "Girl"--it's something rather naughty.

Well, that too.

I meant the vocal backup, during the bridge ("She's the kind of girl..."): Paul and George are saying a slang term for a female breast.

Again, admitted by John Lennon, gleefully no doubt. He loved screwing with censors.

I did not know that, but it is more acceptable from the mouth of Elvis. Why? Elvis is from Tenn. and is known to have a gun collection and is kind of macho.

Lennon? Oh, he was on an album cover with his wife but neither were wearing clothes. And Lennon wrote, All You Need Is Love. These things could not conceivably be associated with Elvis.
