The 102.9 would be WMSI in Jackson, MS. 99.1's calls are WQIK and 106.9's are WBPT.

I had good catches early this morning in NE Alabama(0700-0900 CDT), then I had to barbecue the ribs just as Louisiana started coming in:

96.7 UNID w/ Fleetwood Mac song briefly, would KWCL-Monroe, LA play them?
96.9/WJGL - Jacksonville, FL "The Eagle" (sounds just like its Birmingham clone)
99.9/WGNE - Middleburg, FL "Gator Country 99-9"
101.9/WPNG - Pearson, GA "Freedom 101.9"
101.9/KNOE - Monroe, LA "FM 102" (at basically the same time as WPNG and fighting with WHHY-Montgomery and what appeared to be a country station)--FM state #14
103.3/WWSN - Waycross, GA "Sunny 103"
104.5 UNID w/ Billy Idol, prob. Jacksonville, which wouldn't have been a new catch anyway
105.9/WNRQ - Nashville, TN "105.9 The Rock"
107.3/WPLA - Jacksonville, FL "Planet Radio 107.3"

104.5 is Probably Jacksonville's Rock 105 WFYV.

Thanks - I did get an ID from them after this post and it was WMSI in Jackson (first time for me).

I was getting both Eagles 96.9 Jax and 106.9 Homewood/Birmingham here 12 mi N-NW of Atlanta this morning and they do sound the same.

Yep it was Rock 105 from Jax. I was listening to them the same time you were. I believe they played two Billy Idol tracks then an ID saying Rock 105 Atlantic Beach/Jacksonville. Second time I've received them here.

Several of the same stations were making it here 30mi. NW of Nashville over the last few days. Starting Friday morning, stations new to the log:

KASR 92.7 & KMJX 105.1 Conway, Ark.
KNUE 101.5 & KOOI 106.5 East Texas
KYLS 95.9 Ironton, Mo.
WIVK 107.7 Knoxville, Tenn. (anything east of Cookeville is rare here!)
KQID 93.1 Alexandria, La.
KMRX 96.1 El Dorado, Ark.
WJLQ 100.7, WMXC 99.9, WYOK 104.1, WTKX 101.5 Mobile-Pensacola
WBFZ 105.3 Selma, Ala.
WSLY 104.9 York, Ala
KNOE 101.9 Monroe, La.
WJCT 89.9, WJGL 96.9, WEJZ 96.1, WQIK 99.1 Jacksonville
unIDs 98.5 & 107.1 in Spanish, former probably KGBT McAllen, Tex. Latter could be Mexico?
WGNE 99.9 Middleburg, Fla. (ex-Palatka, serves the Gainesville market?)
WJCL 96.5 Savannah, Ga. (but I *still* need South Carolina!)
WQZY 95.9 Dublin, Ga.

Previously logged but interesting:
KODA 99.1 Houston
KISS 99.5 San Antonio (yes, they really *are* KISS<g>)
"Que Pasa 99.5", probably KKPS Brownsville, Tex.

It was strange to have San Antonio and Mobile at the same time. Usually long-haul openings like that are rather directional - bringing in only one distant area at a time. Early in the opening, Friday morning, I had a dialful of Little Rock and weak Fort Smith on FM -- and contacted a guy 30 miles west of Austin, Tex. on 2 meter ham radio at the same time. Bizarre.

I was getting WESC 92.5 out of Greenville, SC during this opening, but it wasn't a new logging for me. It actually seems to be the strongest station on the frequency here where I am, which is odd considering that WPHC in Cordova, AL is a lot closer. The only other 92.5 I've logged has been E-skip (WWYZ-Waterbury, CT).
