Tropo season early?

L

I had lots of tropo in pretty much from all points early this
morning, I had pretty much of Michigan in far south as Flint,
parts of Central and Southern Ontario, including Rochester, NY
on channel 8, local channels being hammered by DX interference,
tons of FM's and countless UHF channels.

I had some tropo in last Wednesday evening, then again early this
morning and i'm unsure if there's going to be any activity tonight...
I guess i'll have to keep my ears and eyes open and look out.

Since we've had a very poor e-skip season this Summer, do we think
Tropo season has arrived earlier than usuall? maybe Es will pop
up again anytime!

I remember at least 10 years ago, I had KCFX 101.1 out of Harrisonville,
Missouri via Tropo where I live near Sudbury, Ontario and this's one of
my furthermost DX catches ever!

As most of us know today e-skip can travel for thousands and thousands
of miles or more or even overseas.

Question: Does anyone know how far Tropo can actually go? has anyone
ever heard of a FM radiostation or a UHF television station out of
Florida for example seen in Ontario, Canada? I would be quite surprised
if I received Miami via tropo in Northern Ontario! but I would doubt if
that would happen at anytime...although anything is possible, when the
conditions are extremely right.

I can't wait until the next major tropo hits! once again, i'll checking
out FM and TV tonight!

Take care,

From Lee.

I always get tropo around this time of year. The good openings usually start happening in May, and continue through September.
