Trouble at 101.5 and 107.1?

I'm hearing the stations filed for bankruptcy and rumors of at least one format change.

What's going down? And what the hell can they do in Denver. Sounds like Denver is over-radioed all of a sudden.

Unless KS gets competition, anything they do won't really make a dent.

I knew Martini & Sassy were Probably going to Fail: (1) because of thier Signals...(2) thier Formats....AC & Nostaligia/Jazz.....this market already has AC with Cozy 101 & Mix100 & Smooth Jazz 104 and Classic Jazz--KUVO....

107...should look at Urban or Adult Urban....101.5 should look at top 40 or Dance...and or Sports.....

thoughts...?? Is Denver Radio going to Sell out....??

Being that Denver Radio LLC, is Bankrupt and they can't get additional Money according to the article....since the judge has denied them...
would 101.5 & 107.1 be forced to sale or Go off the air ??? ???

Is Tim Maranville still with these stations? He has expereince with just about every format you can imagine. He could program a younger targeted station.

I think that what would be the most logical thing to happen *eventually* would be for the rest of the staff to be dismissed and the stations' be connected to satellite feeds to minimize costs to the bare-bones. They're not there yet, but they might be within six months.

Maybe some commission-only salespeople would remain along with essential staff like a business manager, traffic person, someone to load spots in (maybe those three jobs would be handled by one person), a chief engineer...

...and then all the while wait, and hope for a buyer.

Those stations cover areas where there is really not much of a population, and they aren't close enough to Denver to be heard terribly well there.

I can't imagine what a revenue source for such stations would be.

Does 107.1 even have a website up yet? How's their music selection? Are they like CHR-Pop or Rhythmic CHR?

Actually 107.1 has moved more to CHR-POP, it's similiar to Alice 105.9 with some Urban POP Hits,
I would like to see them add some more Upbeat Tempo Sounds maybe some dance maybe...

They still have the Old Sassy Website up as of right now..................
