Trouble Between Keith Olbermann And Current TV Already?

If I were him, I'd probably be a lot more disappointed with management.
Current is becoming too disorganized to function. Their carriage is low and is not presented in HD.

This "news" is cold as ice, I'm willing to sacrifice my clout.

There's no better publicity than seemingly "bad publicity" to erupt into full scale contrived "controversy".
Let the press and twitterverse run with it as if it has any merit and is rooted in any basis of truth.

None of which will make Keith Olbermann relevant again.

Carry on my wayward son.

Current covered OWS first and at least a week before MSNBC. Current has regularly covered the odious NDAA on both Keith and Cenk's shows with nary a peep from MSNBC.

Ed Schultz is a blowhard. I would consider myself a Liberal, but I can't stand the guy.

I remember The Daily show did a segment on Ed Schultz and the clips they have of Schultz showed him to be MSNBC's answer to Glenn Beck.
What Jon Stewart proved was that Glenn Beck and Ed Schultz are both unstable and paranoid.

Ed Schultz can be a sexist too. But as far as Keith, what would Current put at 8PM if he left and what is the point of hiring Uygar and Grantholm without an anchor star. MSNBC ain't the same no matter what anybody says. Current will really disappear without Keith.

Who? <== reaction from 99% of TV viewers when they hear "Keith Olbermann" or "Current TV"

:D I have yet to find this alleged Current TV channel on my lineup. I'm thinking it is a made up channel by the left to keep Olberman in the news until someone foolishly hires him again.

It’s Channel 215 on Dish Network, I know it’s also on DirecTV though I don’t know the channel number.

What city or town are you in or near? Who's your provider?

Maybe we can help.....

Cheers & 73 :)

Current TV's Vanguard programming is bizarre, I think of it as the vomit channel. Their documentaries seem to always have someone puking or defecating.... very
enjoyable, (I love documentary programming but no longer even bother with them). Its much like sitting down to dinner and try to watch movies produced after the mid 80's (seemed to start with Dead Bang) Its so appetizing to see someone hurl while you are trying to eat a pizza. In my world of justice any movie producer doing this would immediately get chunks blown their in their face. Do people really want to see this, If you watch Jackass or Wildboyz at least you know what you may be getting. Turner Classic Movies seems more appealing every day.

I appreciate the offer, I'm on AT&T Uverse. Considering I have lived without it thus far, I doubt seriously it offers any kind of programming I'd find compelling to watch. Anyway, any channel that has Olberman as their main anchor I really don't have an interest in watching.

It's 358 on DirecTV (sandwiched in between the NBC news channels and the Fox news channels).

So when does Current TV get an HD feed? That's when it'll really start to be relevant, IMHO.

Keith Olbermann is difficult to manage or to get along with?
Whoda thunk it? ;D

If he can't work for Al Gore, where would he go? I guess he could try radio on Sirius Left or do an internet show. I would assume if Current drops him he is over for good on television unless of course he goes to pay TV like Bill Maher or Dennis Miller did or goes straight comedy on the Comedy channel. The more I think about it, he could really go over the top on HBO or just do a half hour of the worst persons and oddball on the Comedy Channel and quit the pretense of being a serious newsman

I watched Current's coverage of the Iowa caucus last night and it looked like bad cable TV access programming.

Cenk Uygar was good (but still doesn't understand in TV you can't wear a finely pattern shirt), but his guests -- two non-descript commentators -- were downright boring. Then you had Al Gore just sitting there stonefaced and non-moving/non-reacting/non-participating in the discourse. One of the two commentators was positioned in back of the studio at the end of an empty table with a camera zooming into her full tilt. Why they didn't have everyone on the same anchor desk is beyond me.

The studio design itself was dreadful...it seemed like they were broadcasting from a badly lit cinderblock automotive repair garage...you kind of expected to hear a car lift in the background with a pneumatic air drill. That Keith Olbermann wasn't anchoring was indeed strange.

Current TV was reasonably interesting in its former life, but now it looks like a network just about to fold up if the current "college try" doesn't work.
