Trouble with my RoadyXT

is this just a cheap crappy tuner or what? Out of nowhere in my car, my XM just goes out and flashes ANTENNA. I have to hit the side of the stupid thing and then it gets reception? Anyone else has this problem? Should I go out and get a better tuner?

it could be anything from a problem with the jack on the dock, to a cut in the antenna cable, or the antenna has gone bad. Do you have a home kit oranother dock to try it in?

While XM radios seem to have their fair share of QC issues, my Roady has proven to be durable and robust. I had a similar problem awhile back, and it was an antenna issue. I got into a tussle with my luggage when getting it out of the car on a trip and damaged the antenna. I had several antennas. So, it wasn't a problem to change the antenna and see if it worked, which it did. I'd initially guess it's an antenna issue, though a hardware problem wouldn't be out of the question.

that usually means the antenna cable is not in properly. did you install or was it professionally installed?
