Troy/Pete Transition

It does appear that the transition from Troy to Pete is in full swing. Especially with the new weatherset design, which appears simular to the set at WCPO?
Hmmm....maybe Pete's a little homesick? One can only wonder. However, he does appear to have a bit more room to work with that tall frame of his. I wonder who's taller, him or KSAT's Steve Browne

Does indeed appear that there's a bit of "shaping" in play-- a slow fade out on Troy with a matching fade in on Pete. Interesting to see the reaction when the general audience realizes the change has begun.

How time flies--it was 1976 when Troy replaced Jack Van Roy and the furor was on in full force.

One difference, though - Van Roy didn't really want to leave, but Dungan is ready to retire. No way 'FAA would phase him out unless he asked for it, because he's been the franchise over there for so long.

You are right--and it's a key difference. Over the 30+ years anchors et al have come and gone, the station has had its ups and downs, but through it all Troy has been the ballast providing stability in the storm.
