True Oldies 100.5

Bring it on! We need a good oldies station on that frequency, badly. I miss WODL in a big way. I get Gold 97.7 WKXM out of Winfield, but that 100.5 is a flamethrower signal!

I'd bet the farm on this. What do yall think?

I believe it'll be either True Oldies (most likely) or the new Platinum format that Citadel has just put into place in Dallas.

Just...please...no more country!!! ::)

Whatever it is, we'll have to wait on it awhile just like we did for 94.5...the AL.com/Birmingham News article said that WJOX will simulcast on both 94.5 and 100.5 for the next two weeks.

Let the speculation train roll again! ??? ::) ??? :D

a sales rep (woman) just turned up at my band's gig tonight. she works at the station and she and the staff have noticed reg (reg's coffee house) in very long and detailed meetings with management and that he will have a big say in what the new 100.5 will be.

the scheme for wrax won't sell in birmingham, in my opinion. i think a true oldies with some smart drivetime live stuff would work but syndication won't cut it. live local 6-10 am and live local 2-7 pm would be easy to sell, but voice track or syndication would kill any station/format here.

If it's not true oldies, with ny luck it will be the best rock station in the history of the world, since I can't get 100.5 most of the time. Between the i-buzz from 101.1, there is a 100.3 in Huntsville the wipes out 100.5 most of the time. I'd have to stream it.
