True Oldies 1270 is back on the air.

There was a Spanish group that had a LMA with 1270. It looks like that didn't work out for one reason or another. How long will "True Oldies" last on 1270 before the station is leased out again
to another group? "True Oldies" may again just be temporary format on 1270 AM WUCO.

For some time now, it seems they've been running the night pattern during the day. They have been coming in this way for some time, and according to the patterns I've seen, they shouldn't even exist in Columbus during the day.

They had a STA to operate with their night pattern during the day but that authorization ran out as on September 11, 2010 of this year. They are
STILL operating their night pattern during the day without an extension of their STA from the FCC. Here is the letter from the FCC on their last STA approval from the FCC: http://licensing.fcc.gov/cgi-bin/prod/cdbs/forms/prod/getimportletter_exh.cgi?import_letter_id=17503

Has ICS COMMUNICATIONS, INC. even applied for an extension of their STA from the FCC? Maybe they did but it's not posted on the FCC website.
Nevertheless, I enjoy haring Real Oldies on the radio again in Columbus during the Daytime!

I hope this sticks. Would be nice if someone committed to local radio in Union County would step up and make sure that station continues to serve that market with relevant programming.

I noticed yesterday afternoon on 1270 WUCO that they already had an announcnment for for a show called http://www.buckeyesportsman.net/ to be heard on Saturday mornings on WUCO 1270.
They said more shows in the future and that the LMA they had with the Spanish group had exspired. It appears this will only be True Oldies until
another group LMAs the station.
