True Oldies 94.7 FM Scott McKay's Doo Wop concert teasers............

Hey guys and gals:

Last Saturday, I attended a Doo Wop concert in Star Plaza Theater in Merrilliville IN. After the Crystals finished their set, Scott McKay, emceeing, mentioning that some of the disc jockeys from the defunct Real Oldies 1690 AM will be joining the station soon. He did not mention any of the names or the time or date of these individuals will be on the air, but said it will be soon and no more additional information can be given out at this date. Let the speculation begin!

The best thing True Oldies can do is to have Tommy Edwards and Larry Lujack on the air, but I cannot see that happening. As for the concert, I used to attend when RealOldies hosted and enjoyed the performances. Given that everything on that miserable excuse for an oldie's station is voice tracked but Scott McKay (where is voice tracking when you need it)--it's possible that some of the voice tracked RealOldies DJS will be voice tracking on True Oldies.

But, of course, being True Oldies, I bet it's Lil' Walter, voice tracking...

According to this morning's Feder, it's gonna be John Records Landecker.

Yes, but Landecker was NEVER on RealOldies, of course Scott Mackay is a stupid jerk and wouldn't know the difference. Landecker, who dissed the oldies format in print (but that was when he had a job) was dispalced when the Jack-the-audience-around format came to Chicago.

and did anyone forget about the WJMK guys, Greg, Fred, and Dick? any news on them at all? im sure Biondi would like to go there

"Landecker, who dissed the oldies format in print (but that was when he had a job) was displaced when the Jack-the-audience-around format came to Chicago."

Not sure what that means.

Landecker, Lujack and Edwards are a few of the jocks in Chicago radio that can return and still have a following after all these years. We all wish we could say that with our shows.

Talent is talent.

Yes and had it been Edwards or Lujack, True Oldies would have had me in a minute. But they went for Landecker, who is probably cheaper.

Mock MY Words! Landedecker will get back on the air and he will start taking his dirty sexual behavior over the airwaves again, along with his girfriend Lesley Kieling
just like he did when he was on WJMK....

Really? Maybe I will give a listen--strictly as a fact finding exercise, you understand, nothing prurient, nothing prurient at all...

When did he do this and what exactly do you consider dirty?
I haven't heard about that -- please give me details.

He talks about Lesley's Underwear and her braugh by making a sexual comment by calling her underwear "Thong" of the day, by him laughing and giggling about it.

One time Landecker's wife had called into the studio at WJMK and she wasn't too please of him, because he was flirting around with Lesley Kieling by using those remarks about Lesley Kieling's Thong of the day underwear....

Even bringing john to the afternoon's = the station needs alot of help. Hate the automation shannon thing . . any other stations in the area with the classic top 40?

Flee the free airwaves into the wonderful world of pay for play XM, etc.
