True Oldies and Imus

Imus picks up a new affiliate in California today. "Imus in the Morning - True Oldies All Day."

Is this the marketing approach Citadel is going to use in the future? Teaming up Imus and Scott Shannon's True Oldies? It's being done now on two major market stations, three including today's move. It's really not a bad concept and its getting True Oldies the growth in affiliates it needs. ABC never really promoted it.
 
As I said on the other thread, Imus is really a TRUE oldie. Reminds me of the old KLSX 97.1 mid 90s when they said "Howard Stern in the morning, classic rock all day". Imus has always wanted to be Howard. Boy does that rivalry go back.
