Louisville True Oldies Channel now on WLRS 1570 / 92.5

Today at Noon 1570 WLRS / 92.5 switched to the "True Oldies Channel" Listened in the car tonight and the 92.5 FM signal is not very good and near where I live in Newburg / Okolona it's almost non existent. (Of course 1570 AM is impossible to hear at night.)
I had read that the stations were becoming "Latino Radio Network" on Jan 1st. Wonder what happened to that?
Anyway, with the weak signals I don't think they will get many listeners. That's a shame. True Oldies Channel is a great format and an alternative to WAKY.

Strange because it really seemed they were going with Spanish! I was in Louisville maybe 4 weeks ago and the signal really is terrible inside the metro. I can't see them being able to sell it with that limited coverage.

I think the "Latino Radio Service" stuff was all just a ruse. The created a "Latino Radio Service" Facebook page on September 19th and suddenly the same Facebook page flipped before the change, even announcing when the change was coming at the night before.

I'm not sure anybody knows what is going on with this station though... not even those who own it. It feels like it has just been some sort of sandbox experiment for radio for the past few decades rather than a true radio station.

The "True Oldies Channel" is a good music service. Scott Shannon voicetracks much of the day and another guy does several hours as well. I think that's better than a 60s/70s juke box. TOC runs on 92.3 WINS-FM-HD3 in New York.

Wikipedia say New Albany Broadcasting company then someone named Tom Hoyt?
Tom Hoyt was the former general manager of the Salem cluster in Louisville. Since Salem disposed of that cluster, Hoyt now runs a Christian preaching format that has been placed in a handful of markets.

Hoyt's company did a brokerage agreement with New Albany Broadcasting. I suspect that didn't pan out, thus the satellite oldies.

I believe it would be Mr. David Smith. At one time it was two Brothers. Their Father started it all, I believe. He was an RF Engineer from what I remember. They have Television and Radio Assets and if my memory is correct, David Smith is a Pastor.
