While I've always thought a real oldies format belonged in Houston, common sense tells me if there was enough money to be made with the format, KLDE would still exist and not "K-Hits".sdh483 said:A "true oldies" format has popped up in Atlanta; a format that goes back to the 50s-60s golden oldies format. Does anyone think a "true oldies" format would work in Houston? AM or FM?
Yup, and it is still using the old KLDE liners. They just added the "HD-2" part.StevenNOLA said:We have one. KHTC-HD2. Lots of good music.

Which brings up an interesting point: Eventually the playlists of KHTC and sibling KHPT are going to collide, and one of the stations will need to change format. Wonder how far off that is?
Have you given any thought to what the demographics of that audience might be? If you were 16 in 1955 you are how old now? 16 in 1965? Pretty old demo, can be sold but would require sellers and not order takers, not sure there are many of those left.sdh483 said:A "true oldies" format has popped up in Atlanta; a format that goes back to the 50s-60s golden oldies format.
